These are snapshots of the Story of a Tree tableau at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market presented between February and April 2022.

This tree display is constructed with recyclable and compostable materials: cardboard wood, paper, metal, & feathers.

Inspirational quotes and lovers initials appeared on the tree. But so did the occasional stray plastic bag get caught in the branches.

Trees were chopped down to make way for tract homes. But that didn’t stop the ducks from moving into the pond at the base of the tree.

IS THIS THE END? Plastic factories are sending out toxic fumes, plastic bags decorate the branches, and plastic garbage is scattered around.
By the end people learned a few things about trees, and hopefully gained a better appreciation of their importance.
