These are snapshots of the Story of a Tree tableau at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market presented between February and April 2022.<\/h2>\n

This tree display is constructed with recyclable and compostable materials: cardboard wood, paper, metal, & feathers.<\/p><\/div>\n

Signs invited Market visitors to think about trees.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

A pink bird established a nest; and rolling tree-lined hills appeared.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Inspirational quotes and lovers initials appeared on the tree. But so did the occasional stray plastic bag get caught in the branches.<\/p><\/div>\n

One day at notice appeared announcing a future housing development.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Trees were chopped down to make way for tract homes. But that didn’t stop the ducks from moving into the pond at the base of the tree.<\/p><\/div>\n

Kids enjoy the ducks.<\/p><\/div>\n

A plastic factory is built nearby.<\/p><\/div>\n

More plastic factories, toxic air and water pollution, and the ducks are gone.<\/p><\/div>\n

IS THIS THE END? Plastic factories are sending out toxic fumes, plastic bags decorate the branches, and plastic garbage is scattered around.<\/p><\/div>\n
